We advise on complicated commercial contracts, negotiations, investment processes and difficult, intricate property cases, and handle court, administrative and arbitration proceedings. We have been providing legal assistance since 1999.

We are a small specialized law firm. We provide highly individualized legal aid to Polish and foreign firms, institutions and social organizations, as well as local government units and private individuals. We specialize in civil, copyright, commercial and administrative law, as well as public constitutional and European law matters.

We provide advice in complicated commercial contracts, negotiations, investment processes and difficult property matters; we handle litigation, administrative cases and arbitration.

We handle matters with an international slant. We represent clients before the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Court of Human Rights.

Michał Wawrykiewicz

Michał has been managing a private practice for almost 20 years and has extensive professional experience in advising commercial entities, including shopping centres, retail chains, property developers, telecommunications and railway companies. He represents clients in courts, arbitration and before European tribunals (CJEU and ECtHR). In his court practice, he handles complex litigation cases for a breach of personal rights, intellectual property rights, as well as compensation and the establishment of the legal status.

He is a specialist in constitutional matters, in particular regarding the judiciary. He is an expert for such parliamentary groups, such as those on Constitutional Governance and the Reform of the Judiciary. He is a legal adviser to the Sejm Bureau of Research, the Marshal of the Senate and the Deputy Marshals of the Sejm in numerous legislative processes, an expert of the LIBE Committee (Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee) on the rule of law in Poland during the preparation of the report and hearings in the European Parliament, expert in proceedings before foreign courts and proxy of Supreme Court, Supreme Administrative Court and ordinary court judges before the CJEU and ECtHR. Co-founder of the #FreeCourts initiative (2017) and the Justice Defence Committee, KOS (2018) and member of the Professor Zbigniew Hołda Association. Together with the other co-founders of the #FreeCourts initiative, he was awarded for his public activity with Newsweek’s T. Torańska Award and TOK FM’s A. Laszuk Award and the European Citizen’s Prize for activities in line with the values enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, such as democracy, the rule of law and human rights. Attorney Michał Wawrykiewicz received the “Advocacy for Merits” award in 2021.

Attorney Michał Wawrykiewicz’s professional experience:

  • continuous provision of legal advice (since 2012) to a company owning several dozen shopping centres (litigation, administrative matters, contracts and legal opinions);
  • provision of legal advice (since 2004) to a company owning large, global retail chains in various matters (litigation, labour law, corporate services, contracts and legal opinions);
  • provision of legal advice (since 2004) to companies belonging to a world leader in clinical trials (real estate matters, as well as corporate support and restructuring);
  • provision of legal advice to companies from the railway sector (investments, contracts, corporate support, labour law, litigation);
  • handling complex litigation for a breach of personal rights of public figures;
  • difficult cases related to the legal status of real estate, restitution of property, sales and investment processes;
  • participation as an expert in numerous groups in the Polish parliament (committees, groups, the Sejm Bureau of Research) and in the European Parliament (LIBE Committee, public hearings);
  • delivery of speeches as an expert at conferences, presentations and hearings in international organizations and groups, parliaments and foreign courts;
  • cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg (e.g., combined case C-585/18, C-624/18 and C-625/18, which ended with the “A.K.” judgment of 19 November 2019);
  • cases before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg;
  • participation in the ‘Consolidation of the Justice System in Albania’ programme as a European Union expert.

She has been working with the Firm for several years. She graduated in law and completed postgraduate studies in labour law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw.

She advises on commercial contracts, construction and investment processes, real estate matters, employment optimization and labour law, as well as commercial law (drafting contracts, corporate documents and proceedings before the National Court Register).

She prepares legal analyses and opinions on constitutional law.

She appears before courts, including the Supreme Court, in civil cases (including in proceedings for damages, payment, establishment of legal relations, divorce, family property, inheritance and consumer bankruptcy), in administrative and administrative court proceedings, including before the Supreme Administrative Court.
